How to make the soft nougat cake<\/h2>\n

The truth is that you will find dozens of variants of the nougat sponge cake<\/strong>. Bruno Oteiza himself proposes a tasty nougat sponge cake soaked in orange and tangerine liqueur, while other recipes prefer to add toasted almonds to give it a crunchier touch, we leave that to everyone’s imagination. <\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/h3>\n

  • 230 g flour<\/li>\n
  • 150 g of Jijona nougat<\/li>\n
  • 3 large eggs<\/li>\n
  • 120 g brown sugar<\/li>\n
  • 1 plain yogurt<\/li>\n
  • 1 sachet of yeast<\/li>\n
  • 125 ml olive oil<\/li>\n
  • Orange zest<\/li>\n
  • powdered sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Preparation of the sponge cake<\/h3>\n

    • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.<\/li>\n
    • Meanwhile, in a bowl, separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Beat the yolks<\/strong> with the sugar with a whisk until they have a foamy texture, and reserve the egg whites for later.<\/li>\n
    • Add the oil and yogurt to the mixture and continue mixing.<\/li>\n
    • Next, we chop the soft nougat<\/strong> and add it to the mixture.<\/li>\n
    • In another bowl, sift the flour with the baking powder and add it to the first mixture. Add the orange zest<\/strong>, this will give a light aromatic touch to the cake that matches very well with the nougat, and mix everything well. <\/li>\n
    • In addition, whip the egg whites that have been set aside until stiff peaks form, and add them to the mixture slowly with a spatula, using wrapping motions.<\/li>\n
